My home will be in pre-foreclosure by the end of May. How long it take for the process of foreclosure to end?

I’m planning to stay in the house untill the end and save as much money as I can. I filed for BK chapter 7 and I had been discharge in march 2008. I was trying to get a loan modification with my lender but they don’t want to. As of today I am 2 month behing.
I live in Kissimmee Fl Osceola County

All depends what state and county you are in. Here in South Florida (DADE, BROWARD and PALM BEACH COUNTIES) there is such a long wait for the courts to have a foreclosure that it takes almost a year before someone is evicted. That’s nearly 12 months if not more of living RENT/MORTGAGE FREE.

It is a sad reality, but many Americans are losing their homes each year. Some lenders are not always sufficiently diligent in monitoring capacity of a person to make the payments, others do not really care for anyway. And, of course, there are situations where a change occurs, leading to the homeowners have unable to meet their mortgage payments.

Whatever the cause of a person is behind on their mortgage payments, this process is defined. Initially, the lender file a public default notice. It starts the foreclosure process, when the property officially enters the pre-foreclosure.

So basically, pre-foreclosure is a grace period. The owner is aware that this is in default and the need for do something, but at this point, the lender can not claim back the property and sell it to recover costs. The length of the grace period is variable, and which is determined by the laws of the State. Some states allow the grace period to last up to 6 months, but many states have shorter periods.

Once well into the pre-foreclosure, there a number of ways that the owner can keep their property confiscated and sold by the lender.

Open the default

If the owner can find the money t pay the default amount, the property is removed from pre-foreclosure. If the amount in default is low and that the defect is due to a temporary error in the circumstances, may be worth taking a personal loan to pay off debt. If the problem continues, without But this can only cause more problems for the owner.

Sell the house

This is a bit more drastic, but is probably the best payments solution if the meeting is likely to be a constant problem. By selling the house, the owner should be able to get a reasonable price for it. If the owner expected and allows the lender to sell, the price is almost certainly going to be much lower because the lender just wants to get rid of the property as soon as possible.

This is often a good time for investors to see the owner with a fair offer to purchase the property. However, many people in the pre-foreclosure enter the denial, and instead of trying to make the best of a bad situation, actually avoid taking action before it is too late. Many do not include long-term effects adverse to a notice of eviction will have on your credit score.

Nobody wants to face foreclosure on your home, but at least the pre-execution mortgage gives the owner the opportunity to find a solution that is more favorable to them. Pending Property to go into foreclosure and be exploited by the lender is almost never the best option.
